If you are a keen mountain biker or trail cyclist and would like to introduce others to the sport\, or if you’d like to learn just enough to take your Cubs off-road…. this is the course for you.\n\nCheshire Scouts Activities Team are running an Off-Road Cycling Course Environment 1 training and assessment days at Cuddington and Sandiway Scout Hall and onto local tracks.\nSaturday 11th and Sunday 12th January 2025\, both morning and afternoon sessions.\nLeaders will need to attend all sessions.\n09:00 – 12:30\n13:30 – 17:00\nWe may need to be flexible here due to numbers of leaders who express an interest. \nThis course is open to \n\nLeaders in the Scout Association\nOver 18s only.\nAny leader who wants training and assessment for a new permit in Off-Road Cycling for Environment 1\n\nN.B. DESCRIPTION:Bookings for the 2024 MerseyMoot will open in May 2024 \nThe Mersey Moot is held annually for some 1000+ Explorer Scouts\, Ranger Guides\, Young Leaders and Network members at Tawd Vale. \n  \n\nFriday Night\n\nOn the Friday evening you will be asked to book in and set up camp. Later there will be a live band and disco in the marquee. \nIf you like you are welcome to come and setup your camp on the Thursday evening. If you wish to stop on the Thursday evening thats fine but please make arrangements directly with Tawd Vale campsite. \nYou’ll need to make sure you have the forms required when you go to the booking office. \n  \n\nSaturday\n\nSaturday is the major activity session\, starting at 10:00 am you can climb\, abseil\, canoe\, shoot air rifles and you can even try your hand at archery or maybe you would like a try at Circus Skills or even have a go on the aerial runway\, then there is Trampolineing or anything listed below! \nFor the less energetic there is always the opportunity to have a try at some old and some not so old crafts\, or just take the time to stroll round the various displays. Call in at the Coffee Shop or the Snack Bar and make some new friends. \nAs the sun goes down\, the lights go up for Moot Madness. At 10:00pm the mood changes and we get ready for the climax of the evening the live DJ set. \n  \n\nSunday\n\nSunday is set aside for some light hearted activities including the SUPER MOOTER our very own version of It’s a Knockout (with MUD)\, many of Saturdays Activities and Crafts will continue.
